Serious
woodworkers always have a variety of clamps on hand because they are
essential to a good bond for gluing as well as safely securing the wood
while you cut or sand, but they are great joint savers as well -- plus
they just make life less irritating. When I think back to all the times
I though the glue didn't work but was just lacking the clamp, it makes
me shake my head in disgust, Really, I'm doing it right now, shaking my
head in disgust. Once again, they are also great for kids when they are
learning to work with wood or anything that needs to be glued together.
Think about the fact that anytime that the clamp is applying pressure,
that is saving joint life that you can bank for later. |
