How I shifted from being a Sick Person to a Dancer

Introduction:

I am not a health professional. I developed the following material working with a physical therapist, practicing Nia,, and conducting my own research using my own body. Each individual should be working with their physician and a physical therapist. I’m sharing this information because many people have described symptoms that mirror mine and have not been able to find exercise that doesn’t lead to more injury.

Who knew that those tap recitals years ago performed in school auditoriums would someday take on a new life in the form of exercise that has literally transformed my psychical wellbeing?

Practicing Nia, is an experience that is difficult to put into words so in lieu of rambling paragraphs I submit the following video for your viewing pleasure:

Like I said before this has worked for me and may not be for everyone. However, I think it’s important to note that even the chronically ill can still occasionally “shake their groove things” and awaken a little dancer from the past.
