Balls
to sit on
May
PT's recommend sitting on a fit ball instead of an office chair to
encourage "active sitting" which improves core strength. But my PT
mainly wanted to see me moving around, rather than being stuck in the
same position. Citing the "Motion is Lotion" adage, she also suggested
that I roll back on the ball and stretch out my back and neck every 15
minutes. See how much I love you; I even let a picture be taken of me.
I'd say that this is mostly a work-at-home option. For an informal
description see 10
Reasons to Use an Exercise Ball as your Chair or ask your
physical therapist. |
